With 1 in 5 people in the United States experiencing sexual abuse and the average age of disclosure in a victim’s mid-40s, it’s time to create an environment of healing through a broad reaching, diverse and flexible healing programs. Abuse is often stored in the brain’s limbic system, which has a broad impact of existing therapies; it has been shown to be limited in expedient, comprehensive healing. New protocols are under development and being tested using alternative healing methodologies. In this seminar, we review these concepts:
